SEGOVIA

I arrived in Segovia on Monday night and have spent the past four days relaxing and enjoying this wonderful town. This is the city where I spent my first ever study abroad experience and it will always be near and dear to me. Coming here feels almost like coming "home"... I know where everything is and the people here are so nice and welcoming. In fact, I feel so relaxed here I haven't taken too many pictures! But below are some photos of the town's pristine condition Roman Aqueduct for you to enjoy. The aqueduct was constructed during the first century, A.D., completed around the year 50. There is no mortar or any other material holding the stones together... the Romans were such good builders that the stones just fit and have held together for two thousand years!!!

I plan to spend today doing some more serious picture taking of all the major sites, so hopefully tomorrow I can have some more varied shots to share.
